This post is for my students! From time to time they cause me headaches, I must admit... but rewarding experiences are constant! Yesterday they had their first test and results were so good I decided to post their pieces of writing. Right now, we are working with the first unit (All about me) and I'm so proud to see they are learning quite a lot of things and take risks no matter what that I couldn't let it unnoticed!
I decided not to correct mistakes since they are part of the process and what matters is that they succeded in expressing themselves even with limited vocabulary and structures. The following are some samples I've corrected so far...
Tricia, you are doing such a professional job with your students and they seem to be enjoying the language, it´s a great idea to showcase what students do because they feel they are important and that you consider their work worth sharing with others.
ReplyDeleteThanks Gabriela for your comment! Well, I'm working hard... and I'm lucky I have enthusiastic students! Right now, I'm trying to find the way to show all their pieces of writing... but I don't know how... (Any ideas?)
ReplyDeleteI don't want any of them to feel his or her work is not important... but I have 120 first graders! And I know at this level is essential to encourage them doing this kind of things... :)
